Business planning VS. Sky diving: Same thing… right?

Via my friend Bailey Koharchick at http://prtothepeople.blogspot.com/ 🙂

Have you ever had a really great idea? Not only a great idea, but also a one-of-a-kind, innovative and potentially lucrative idea? If so, what did you do with it? If you’re like me, you probably got pretty excited about it. Maybe you even Googled a little bit of research. But after a few days, you lose motivation because the idea of creating and planning and establishing a product or service is daunting, or at the very least, overwhelming.

Starting your own business can be scary, and with good reason. There is risk involved. However, when you thoroughly plan your venture out, a large percentage of risk disappears. People don’t just jump off cliffs without some device to soften their landing. They use a parachute, or a bungee chord. They use some form of safety net. The best kind of business planning safety net is a top-notch business-planning program.
One program that I would recommend is LivePlan. LivePlan, created by PaloAlto software, is a cloud-based business planning software. What does cloud-based mean? Well, you know how Apple just came out with their lovely musical commercials that show a person accessing and sharing their electronic files from different locations? That’s what cloud-based is. It means that while you work on your LivePlan in LA, your business partner can work on it from Tokyo, New York, Rome or any other place in the world.
This new innovative technology allows faster, easier and more collaborative business planning, Basically, LivePlan takes the scariness out of planning your business. They’re your safety net. Oh, and you can feel confident in it because it’s run by the #1 business planning company… in the world!
So now that I’ve sparked you motivation, run with it. Well, first get a LivePlan… and then run with it.
